It is rare when a person comes into our lives and leaves a lasting impression. Ms. Kathleen, mama, you did that for Rudy and I. We always had so much fun having you over our house. After our first gathering, I always kept Prosecco just for you. Your laughter, joy, energy, and quick wit bantering with Joe always kept us smiling and laughing. I think my fondest memory is of the great left, center, right battle. Angela kept saying circle, circle, circle while you shook the dice, so you knew what you wanted to roll in order to not have to pay. Then you would shake and move your hands in a circle pattern before the roll. After the first game ended without a winner, we went for the double pot game. AND YOU WON! I was more tickled you wanted the quarters and wouldn't let me exchange them for bills. Kathene, you are missed, truly loved, and our home is forever blessed for having you as our guest and friend. I hope you are dancing with your sweetheart again and spreading your joy wherever you go. I love you.

Kate, a wonderfully warm and understanding soul. Caring, funny and a the maker of a great roast dinner.
I took Kate to see Lord of the Dance in London many years ago. The train was so bumpy that Kate, being so petite, was thrown around the seat… but we couldn’t stop laughing!! A great memory of a lovely day.
Most people moan about their mother-in-laws but I didn’t, I had the best.

Mum, you were always there for me, even when I was a little bugger growing up! You never judged me. You were loving to me, Sean and Elaine, giving us a great childhood.
You and Dad made me the person I am and am grateful that you were my Mum.

My most cherished memories of Nan are when we would bake in her kitchen with the serving hatch opening up into the living room making cakes or tarts or crumbles and the house would smell delicious. While our concoctions were in the oven, we would go out into the garden to weed around her beautiful flower beds and she’d tell me all their names, then we’d sit and eat our treats together. I will love and miss you always Nan, thank you for my wonderful childhood memories, Harriet x

I’d stand on a stool and we would work together to make all sorts of things, cakes or tarts or crumbles and the house would smell delicious. While our concoctions were baking we’d go into the garden and weed around her beautiful flower beds until our treats were ready. I’ll never forget the Sundays and sleepovers at Nan’s I had growing up. We would spend a lot of the weekends there and I remember her always taking care of us, letting us watch so much TV, letting me drink fizzy orange juice with a spoon as if it were soup, and she also taught me how to knit. She had all these neat books and I was enamoured by a cartoon book about family life from America called Hi & Lois. I really loved her house in the UK, with the big fields out back that Dad and Ross and I would walk across to get to her, and all the time we would spend in her conservatory. Dear Nan,

Thank you so much for the loving memories, you always greeted us with a smile and laughter, there was always a jar of sweets by the stairs.

Spending special moments with us will always be cherished from birthdays and Christmas’s having us round your house when mum and dad went to Alton Towers for the weekend.

Thank you so much for the love and care you gave me and your be sorely missed. You taught us all a lesson that there is so much more of the world to see when you moved to America but to also live a full life with Dad telling us that you would go to Las Vegas for trips and also your dancing.

Keep looking over us all, lots of love from me and Buddy.

I have lots of wonderful memories of Nan - fish and chips on a Thursday night, when she would bring us sweets for afters and let my sister and I walk around in her heels. Staying over at her house where we would make cakes, eat cheese toasties with sliced apple, do cross stitch and watch Sunset Beach (she would laugh at how ridiculous the storylines were, but we loved watching it). She was brilliant at knitting and sewing, and I still have the knitted doll she made for me when I was little.
