Lealeth
I will never forget the time Geri and Larry and Keith and I had an opportunity to stay at your parents home in California overnight as part of our Valentine adventure. When GeriLin first suggested we could spend a night at her parents (to save on hotel costs) I must say I was quite apprehensive to the idea. It has always been out of my comfort zone to stay at anyone’s house including relatives. But it would save us a fair amount of money and they were willing to let us stay, so I agreed to it. What a surprise to Keith and I to be so welcomed into their home. We were given a nice room and bed to sleep in along with a bathroom close-by including towels and toiletries to use. They also provided us with a beautiful, delicious meal that they had prepared for all of us. I had never felt so comfortable and relaxed staying in a home of someone we didn’t really know. Their hospitality & kindness was over the top. They were so very thoughtful and we had pleasant conversation during our meal. One of the things I loved about their home was the display of stuffed animals they had. It was an acquired collection of plush characters they had given to each other as gifts throughout the years. I remember being touched by this sweet expression of love they shared in these bears and other stuffed expressions of love; each attached to a memory for them. What great examples they were to is.
I can only imagine how hard it was when the time came that they had to be separated for a time. A time when she was left to finish out her time on earth without his companionship. It must’ve been so hard to continue on without that faithful, loving support of her Sweetheart.
I want to imagine now the joy that was shouted out when she returned to his arms in Heaven. What a glorious reunion it must’ve been! Who would ever hold her back from that. I know you all are sad to lose her, for yourselves. That’s what love does to us and nothing less would be expected. Be grateful for the memories that are timeless and now an even greater treasure to your hearts. Know that you are loved and as my son ( who left this life way too young) always said;
“It’s All Good”
With hugs & love, Lealeth Miller
