Keaton and I were roommates for a couple months. I will never forget sharing our loves of music and most aspects of counterculture. A self described 'dirty hippie,' his hygiene was never questionable and his free spirited love is what made the term at least half accurate. We wrote a few songs together and introduced each other to a few bands that one or the other had yet to discover. Keaton was passionate and his care for his fellow man came, at times, with a demonstration of fierce loyalty, always in defense of an underdog. I will never, ever forget the special moments he and I had. I do not selfishly wish for more of these times, just treasure that I had the honor of knowing him at all. In a world full of greed and power, I can honestly say that I saw no lust for either of these in Keaton. In the brief time I knew him, he simply walked a path of concern, empathy and generosity few others I've met bother to set foot on. He remains in my heart and all those he left behind in my prayers.
