Keaton LaVell Hofhines' Obituary
KEATON LAVELL HOFHINES
Keaton (Sunshine) Hofhines came into this world on September 19, 1991 and made his parents, Brent D and Debbie K Hofhines, the happiest people on earth on September 22nd through the gift of adoption. He was loved, adored, and fussed over by excited Aunties, Uncles and Cousins. For eight long years, we prayed and waited on God to bless us with a child and he loaned you to us. You kept us on our toes for 29 mostly wonderful years. You challenged us in intellect, vocabulary, and taught us to be more open and accepting of others and their lifestyles. You LOVED music of all kinds and helped us appreciate it more. You were free spirited, loyal, loving, and proud to call yourself a mamma's boy! We grew to love your unique spirit and personality. You could carry on adult conversations with a stranger in line from age of 2. Then again, anyone who met you became friend, not stranger. You gave the best big bear hugs and we loved them. It was your signature move. Your unconditional love was something to behold.
God decided we'd had you to ourselves long enough and called you home Monday November 30, 2020 to do his work, leaving your family broken hearted and devastated. We soon learned a whole community of free spirits like yourself were reeling with your loss as well. Did you know how much you were loved and the impact you've had on so many people? You came here to teach and you left us all the better for having known you. Your talents live on in your art.
Keaton is survived by his parents Brent and Debbie, sister Kasie (Zach) Quan, brother Caleb Hofhines. Also survived by foster brothers: Andrew Black, Isaiah Barlow, Zack Barlow and others. Preceded in death by his grandparents: LaVell Hofhines, Louise Kindred, and Thomas and Bonnie Wenner.
A viewing, open house will be held to honor you and we can't wait to hear more stories about your awesomeness. Family will cry together on Saturday December 5th from 11-12 (by invitation only). Your hoard of friends will join us from 12:30-3pm.
