I had Kristi as a student at USU for I believe Chemistry lab recitation. I connected with her on a level more than just a student/teacher. She was such a wonderful person. She fought hard and she will be missed.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of her passing I met her through a friend of ours and from the moment I met her that smile is what I will never forget, anytime I ran into her around town she never failed to give me a huge hug the last time I saw her I remember she just smiled when she saw me and gave me one of those hugs and she will never know how much I needed it that day I was going through a lot of things and that hug just made me feel like I was going to be okay because she loved me! I know she had many friends but she always made you feel like the special one. I’m going to miss you Kristi so much! Thank you for being my friend when I needed one of our last messages to each other was I told you how much I adored you and loved you and you said I love you too beautiful ! Until we meet again
I met Kristi 8 or 9 years ago when I walked into a conference looking for somewhere to sit, and she piped up and said I could sit by her! We were online friends for several years after that, and I read her posts as she finished her degree, moved across the country, then moved back to Utah. Soon after she moved back, we became in-person friends. We had lots of karaoke nights, music shows, and hang outs. She was always willing to sing "my songs" for me at karaoke because I don't sing. It was an honor to see her unconditional support of her children. She lived what she believed, and it showed. One time I was exaggerating something, and she gently rebutted it with the facts, and I love that she did that. I will miss her knowledge of all the lyrics to every good song. She was loyal, brave, and truly lived life to the fullest. Love you and miss you, Babs
