Larry Scott Preece's Obituary
Larry Scott Preece passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022 surrounded by his friends and family. He will be greatly loved and missed by many.
He was born September 27, 1952 to Thurman Scott Preece and Golda Mae Preece. He is survived by his sisters Debbie Preece and Rose Rabat.
Larry served in the U.S. Army and had a great love of freedom and his country!
He married Laurie Faye Adams and together they have 8 children. Jared Preece, Amy Preece, Charity Preece ( Earl Archuleta), Clayton Preece ( Shanale ), Joshua ( Michelle), Kody Preece ( Tricia Fox ), Chance Preece ( Linzie ), Kasey Preece. They later divorced. He was a very proud grandpa to 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Larry is survived by his children and his wife Sheri Lynn Wood.
Larry was preceded in death by his Father Thurman Scott Preece, step-mother Sandra Preece, mother Golda Buttons, and his daughter Amy Marie Preece
He worked for many years at Staker Parsons where he recently retired. He also did welding fabrication, and was a very talented taxidermist.
Larry was often found outdoors hunting, fishing, or 4X4ing with his family, friends, and club members. If he wasn't in the mountains you would find him rallying with friends where they stood up for our rights and freedoms. Larry believed you should stand up for what you think is right and should fight for it and he lived by example!
Larry's laugh and smile will be greatly missed.
His family would like to thank everyone who was there to support him in the end. They would also like to give a very special thanks to the great staff at Davis Hospital.
