Lee Everett Robinson's Obituary
Lee Everett Robinson, 66, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at his home in Sandy, Utah after a five year struggle with GIST cancer.
Lee was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 5, 1946. During his childhood and early teen years, he lived in New Hyde Park, New York. At age 15, Lee moved with his family to Salt Lake City where he attended Skyline High School. After high school graduation, Lee served a seven-year apprenticeship as a land surveyor. He became a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Colorado. In 2010, Lee retired from the firm of Robinson, Biehn and Biehn, having worked in his profession for forty four years.
Lee always enjoyed driving sports cars, watching road races, and skiing downhill at his beloved Alta, Utah. In 1972 he obtained his FAA Private Pilot License and enjoyed several years of flying over the rugged terrain of the western states. Early on, Lee developed a penchant for photography, and his love of creating beautiful photographs continued throughout his life.
In 1984, Lee married his soul mate and best friend forever, Janet (Jan) Gunzelman Tenney.
Lee is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jan, their two adopted greyhounds Harley and Beau, and his brother Steve of Billings, MT.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Jonathon Whisenant, Dr. Michael Collins, and all the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists for their caring and expertise during the course of Lee's illness.
No funeral services are planned, but a small private memorial service will be held in the future among close friends and family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Utah Cancer Foundation.
