You lived the perfect example all your 58 years in this existence of what a beautiful perfect daughter of Heavenly Parents lives life like. I still can hear your pure and innocent laughter. I still remember all the counsel and spiritual advice you gave.You were and still are the purest , without guile, love for all, angel I've ever known. I willl miss my dear sweet friend Linda. I am eternally grateful for her friendship and will look forward to one day again being greeted by her beautiful smile and warm hug. Until that day, I will think of her whenever I see a pink Christmas tree or make a flower arrangement. Few people have had an impact on my life as much as Norm and Linda Black. As a teenager Linda was like a second mother to me, and I spent as many nights playing games at their house as I did at my own. Linda was also among my Mother’s best friends and business partners. Linda’s example of kindness, diligence, and word work will always stand out in those years.

Beyond that, she raised her boys, and her influence is felt through their mirroring of her great attributes. Chris and Cory are among my best friends, and if it weren’t for Chris’ influence and friendship in college there is no chance I would have ever met or had courage to date my wonderful wife, Brittany.

My gratitude and love goes out to Norm and the Boys and all her other family and friends. Thank you, and I hope we can all continue to be better people as we remember Linda.

Louise and I were profoundly sadden of learning of Linda's passing. Our sincere condolences to you Norman, and to your family. This week, as I have reflected on my memories of Linda, I realize that every memory I have of this elect lady, also includes Norman. Linda and Norman, with their laughing eyes, statuesque physiques, kind hearts, and contagious positivity! My memories of you resonant from our blessed days at Dixie College when everything we touched seemed to turn to gold.

So much life, love, and letting go has passed since those glorious days, and although our paths have diverged since then, I feel incredibly grateful to have been blessed by your goodness.

Today as you are celebrating Linda's life I will be praying for you and your boys to be surrounded by love and peace. Why God calls some of his choicest, most valiant and beautiful souls home early, I will never understand, but I have faith that one day all of our questions will be answered and we will understand completely God's grand design.

Linda is yours forever, Norman. She has earned her celestial crown. God bless you and your family to rest assured that she is at peace and all that truly matters in this life, and the life to come, has been secured for eternity.

I still remember the first night we had family night at the Black home when both our families were new to Hawaii. Linda made us feel right at home, fed us well, and then proceeded to beat us soundly all at Settlers of Catan—but in the kindest way possible. She was always that way, the person to reach out and put her arm around someone, and was so much fun to be around. Even a few short weeks ago, when she was so ill, and we visited the Black’s home, she still wanted us to have a good time, cheering us on in a game of bocce ball. We will miss you Linda, but know the separation is but temporary. Thank you for your faith and example!

All we have thought about is how much joy Linda brought to everyone who knew her in mortality. The most joy to you, which makes this such a huge loss. You, your sons and daughters-in-law and your grandchildren will take comfort in all of the wonderful memories--as will we. But it is a sad time for all of us. My family will always remember Linda fondly. She was so kind and gracious. I am thankful to her for giving us Chris who we love dearly. He is a tribute to the kind of person that she was and we are lucky to have him as part of our family. She will always be loved and missed.
