Linda and I had many things in common--love of music and scrapbooking just to name two. We also had Orangeville, Utah in common. Linda was raised there and my "cousin" Barbara Peterson was her best friend. My Dad's family--the Robert Baird Logan family--lived in Orangeville many years before Linda, my granddad having left for Idaho before my Dad was born. One summer when Linda was visiting her sister, I drove to Orangeville and spent several days with her. She took me to see my Aunt Annie's daughter, Sarah Robertson and her daughter Barbara. What a treat that was. Barbara gave me a photo of my Grandfather Logan as a young man---a photo even my Dad hadn't seen. We went to the Castle Valley parent, toured the area and had a blast. One day we decided to see if we could find the Logan "homestead". She and Barbara had played there as children. We found the general area but to get closer we had to get around a barbed wire fence and go through a cow pasture. Linda held the wire apart for me to get through the fence and I held it for her. There was no real evidence that we were in the spot where the house had been but Linda assured me we were close. I have such fond memories of that trip and the time I spent with my wonderful friend.
