My Sister.. Lisa Nishimoto was always full of Korean and Japanese wisdom, laughter, great intellectual dialog, and could gut me to the core with truth-- to then turn around and tell me everything she loved, respected and admired about me, my girls and The Mister! She and Paully were more than friends when we were young parents living far from home, they were our family!!! Lisa won Olivia's heart with her first Red Patton leather handbag when she was two! Lisa was larger than life, but when I had Autumn, my very quiet content baby, Lisa would dial down the noise and just sing to her while she played.
When our husbands-- coworkers -- were traveling for work, it was Lisa who helped me get through the stress of life with 2 babies, alone away from family! I am so glad in the last two years, I intentionally visited her in Salt Lake City 3 times! She shared with me her fear of how her rapidly failing health caused her to worry about Paul, not her but her husband - they have been just the two of them -never wanting or having children - for 35 years! Tonight we called to chat like we have every month for the past 22 years -- Paul answered and as soon as he said hello I knew, Truth be told I think I knew Thursday -- just a feeling -- my friend has journeyed on -- to where I don't know but I hope for Lisa "there" has peace, sunshine, flower and her favorite thing -Anything Girly-- perfume, Clinique makeup, jewelry -- but not just any jewelry - the finest and handbags lots and lots of handbags!
This was the last Chinese Year Prayer from her--- Oh how I wish I had all 29 years of these messages saved, but I have this one and my heart is full!My Sister..
