A few years ago my daughter purchased a home as a next door neighbor to Lonny and his family. The home needed a complete overhaul from inside to outside and top to bottom. Lonny didn’t hesitate to introduce himself and to assist me in many ways. He would lend tools, he watched the house very carefully to keep the work and the tools safe during the weeks nobody lived in it. Lonny is a kind and wonderful man. I’m going to miss Lonny and some of the conversations we would have. I admire how much he loved his family. He showed his love in so many different ways to his family that will forever stay with me. Those that know Lonny well will understand this next comment well. During the condition the home my daughter purchased the city decided to show up and do a surprise inspection. I had no idea what all the commotion was as I was working in the attic. All I could hear was a man ripping into someone telling him this neighborhood was none of his business and that he should just leave letting people do what they needed to do to fix their homes. The inspector must have agreed in some at because he quickly got back in his truck and left. Once I approached Lonny asking him who that was and why happened I thought to myself that Lonny is a protective soul and really did look after people’s interest. Unbeknownst to Lonny I quickly made my way to the city offices to make sure they knew I had my paperwork in order and to stop by anytime they wanted but to first give me a heads up so we could sneak in without Lonny knowing.
I really like Lonny and will miss him! Please know that I know we will see each other again! Lonny isn’t gone forever only beyond the veil where we cannot see or hear. Lonny is happy and involved with all his family and friends that have also past through this veil. I believe this and I can’t wait to see him again someday.
