Louise Crandall Huefner's Obituary
Louise Crandall Huefner, 89, returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, surrounded by her children on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
Jean Louise Crandall was born February 25, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Spicer Lewis and Jean Hughes Crandall. She was the second child of two and was loved dearly. She loved visiting with extended family, especially her maternal grandmother who taught her about birds, flowers, and song. She graduated from BYU in Elementary Education. She married John Smith Huefner, later divorced. They had seven children: Jonathan (Kim), Rebecca (Matt) Chapman, William (Jami), Joseph (Rose), Catherine (Michael) LaPorte, Howard, and Andrew.
She loved traveling, claiming to have been to 32 countries; gardening; cooking/baking, many times using no recipe; family, immediate and extended; ancestors; painting, watercolor being her favorite; teaching, whether at the school or in the Church; reading; and a good laugh.
Preceded in death by her son, Andrew, and her parents. Besides her six children, she is survived by 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren (and it is only the beginning, the oldest being 6).
We want to thank the staff at Beehive Homes of West Jordan for all their patience and love as they cared for our mother.
