Lynn Lees Arrington's Obituary
LYNN LEES ARRINGTON
Our brave brother, uncle, cousin and friend "Gus" soldiered through as much of this life as he could then left July 2nd, 2016, now free from pain. He will be missed so much. Lynn was born in Provo on October 14th, 1958 to Melvin and Norma Rae Arrington. He was an inquisitive child and rarely came home from an outdoor adventure with dry clothes. He loved to fish and was the caretaker of a variety of uncommon pets. He loved gardening, and he loved tools and tinkering in his shop. Gus was trained as an EMT; he drove an ambulance and helped many people in their hour of need. He lived for the fall hunting season when he could walk the fields with his beloved dog Tex along to scare up pheasants. He had an unforgettable laugh. Back injuries and multiple surgeries made work difficult, but he never stopped helping anyone down on their luck. He always tried to be a good neighbor and was deeply loyal to the wonderful people he grew up around. He had a heart of gold and an abiding faith in the healing power and love of God. Gus leaves behind a beautiful German shorthaired pointer hunting dog,Tex, whom he loved more than life, brother David (Gigi), nephew Connor (Reshma), nieces Elyse Hiti (David), Hannah Olague (Irving) and Gwynne, and a life-long friend, Becky Brian. Gus loved his Twin Falls aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his Lees family. When we see a handle bar mustache, a bolo tie or hear a slightly off-color joke, we will smile and think of you, Gus.
Services will be held Saturday, July 9th at noon with family visitation at 11am in the Relief Society room (west end) of the Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake Center, 1750 Spring Lane, Holladay, Utah. He will be buried near his parents at Wasatch Lawn, Salt Lake City.
