There is a cure for autism. There is a higher source for information than academia. We can learn by a higher source than psychologists who threw out their own manual as not being sufficiently accurate to use. The internet still goes to them for authority, blindly (which it gives out to the public). These are the conversations I had with Marie. She was deep, and not owned by authority, or creatively able to find a different path as the last director of the national institute of mental health NIMH (gifted independent-mindedness) said was needed to find the right way of it, but believing in God. We could talk for hours. She went with me her last year to meet with the health department in Utah County as they wanted to know why Michelle Obama had been involved with my idea on the 4 column and 6 row solution to not only autism and ADHD, but weight management. The Director was interested, Marie went down with me to talk to her. It was my last experience with Marie. Isn't it amazing the story of Nimh by Disney, the Secret of Nimh, is about faith and courage, where we went in our trip down there, the Secret of NIMH is a children's tale, to learn by study and FAITH. This was talking with Marie.

I've just learned of Marie's passing. She was an incredibly strong woman who adopted my family as her own. She was there when we needed her and we knew we could count on her. She was a wonderful teacher and boss and I know that I would not be the person I am today if she hadn't shown me how to be strong and compassionate.

Because of what Marie Day taught me, I saved the life of a boy who broke his neck while diving into shallow water. More importantly she saved me with her kindness, undying support and example as a strong leader.

My Condolences to the family. Marie was my first boss at the Roy Recreation Complex - I was one of MANY kids she took through the lifeguard program, WSI, Aerobics - you name it. She was terrific and so supportive of everyone. She will be greatly missed.

I went to high school with Marie. We graduated in 1972. I remember seeing her often after I returned home from the Marines in 1976, when she worked at Roy Recreation Center. She was always a positive and pleasant person, devoted to her Savior and living the gospel. My condolences to her family. I look forward to seeing her on the other side. - Bruce Davis

I was one of nine girls that had a deep friendship with one another. Marie was one that tryed to keep us on the straight and narrow. Her laugh was contageous and she always laughed at my jokes even if it was a courteous laugh. She knew what was right and was not going to be swayed away from her standards. I loved working in the primary with Marie. She loved the children dearly. When she taught Gospel Doctrine you could just feel the love she had for our Savior. She testified of His goodness and mercy, and I left her class with a firm knowledge that I was loved by my Savior. I miss you my friend. You are an angel!
