Marie Day's Obituary
Our sweet, tenderhearted Marie returned to her loving Heavenly Father Feb. 26, 2017. She was born to Bryant and June Day on Nov. 11, 1953 in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Roy High and continued her education at Weber State University. Her greatest asset is her love of the Lord. She served as a missionary in the Belgium Netherlands Mission and was a member of the Clinton 7th Ward having served as Gospel Doctrine teacher, visiting teacher, and music director. She retired from Roy City, and is still fondly remembered by her many friends and swimming students at the Roy Recreation Complex.
Marie was bright, understanding, supportive, and will be deeply missed. Her greatest joy and enthusiasm for life was her son Joshua. Marie’s eyes were drawn to the beauties of this earth, which she was quick to share through art and music. We will profoundly miss her sweet smile and her genuine compassion for everyone.
Those of us left behind are Joshua Day-Salazar (son); step sons Jesse, Joe and Jimmy Salazar; siblings: Douglas (Pam) Day, Susan (Bob) Voorhees, Nancy Spiegel, Becky Day, Craig Day; and many special nieces and nephews. Those who are waiting to receive her in heaven are Bryant and June Day (mom and dad); Diane Howard (sister); Jason Day (nephew).
Funeral services and viewing will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Clinton North Stake Center, 1500 West and 1800 North, Clinton. Friends may visit with family prior to the services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Call Fort Cemetery, Honeyville.
