I'm Roxie and was a good friend with Mavis, back about 35 years ago. We actually because good friends via our Ex's. funny how that works. My ex-husband Tom was good friends with Lamont and that is how I met Mavis. We became great friends and hung out for many years even after I was divorced and she and Lamont parted ways. I just barely found out she had passed and it breaks my heart because I was hoping to reconnect with her. We had so much fun together and would talk for hours and hours. Our ex's always gave us crap about that... lol I have some great memories with Mavis, she was such a wonderful friend and funny as heck! But many people mistook her good nature and she would set them straight in a heart beat cause that is how Mavis rolled. She did not like liars or bullcrap! She was a sincere and kind Lady, and I do mean Lady! because she was. Mavis!! I will see you again when my time is up and until then, I hope to met your wonderful grand-daughter. Miss You so much Mavis!!!
I met Mavis in the 60's when I started doing her hair. Her personality was as big as her heart. We become friends and have been ever since. We shared laughter and secrets. She will be greatly missed.
Mavis was a terrific person and I enjoyed working with her at National.

Mavis has been a dear friend since the early 80s when I lived in Utah, I have lived in several other states since leaving Utah in late 80s and we have always stayed in touch.
There is no one as special!!! RIP 🥰🙏🏽
How do I begin?. Well Mavis was my best friend and I could always count on here . She never minced words and was always up front . I don't think a lot of people didn't understand our realation ship as I was in a relation ship with her ex of 18 years .They remain end friends till the very end .I wish I could have said good bye .I know she thought I helped her more than she to me , but she was wrong it was the other way around . our favorite time was in the morning having coffee in her little garden .She was an amazing women . Mavis I know you will be watching from above . your little Alisha has grown into an amazing young lady and I know you had a hand in that . I will be waiting for you in my dreams .I love you and will miss you so very much . Donna Batt
This is Lamont Fawcett I was blessed for 18 years of her life what adventurous ride that was if you knew Mavis and I you were lucky to been on some of those adventures with us I know our special friends that we had I am hoping they approved when we were together but times change people change but anyway I had the pleasure of being friends with her and both of us still loved each other and always will type of woman you could not walk away from Basically she insisted it’s hard knowing now that she’s gone that all our conversations are going to have to be in prayer instead of face to face She will be missed little special lady and full of life luckily I still have her granddaughter to talk and share those special times with her God bless her
I remember Aunt Mavis as being alot of fun. When I was young Aunt Mavis took me and one of my cousins to a drive in movie. We ate popcorn and laughed and listen to music. It was a memory I have always remembered as lots of fun. I enjoyed time spent with Aunt Mavis and looked forward to visiting her whenever I was in Utah.
