Mavis Williams Skinner's Obituary
Mavis Williams Skinner
July 12,1940 - January 9, 2023
Loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away on January 9th 2023 in South Ogden, Utah.
Mavis was born on July 12, 1940 to Elmer Millard Williams and Nellie Mae Wardell Williams. She was the youngest child in a large family of nine children. Mavis married Alfred Allan Skinner on August 15, 1959. Later divorced. She had Kelli the following August. My grandma was a perfectionist, particularly in her working career where she excelled at National Semi Conductor. She was a supervisor there over the training department; some of her fondest memories were of her and "her girls" that she supervised. Mavis retired later to fulfill her greater passion in life, being a supportive mom and caring grandmother.
Mavis had a great sense of humor and loved with no bounds. She did anything she could for those she loved. She was an excellent typist boasting over 100 words per minute in her hay day. She was also a talented artist making lovely flower arrangements for family and friends.
Mavis is survived by her beloved granddaughter: Alisha Jean Rich.
Mavis is preceded in death by daughter Kelli Troylynn Skinner Rich, her parents, sisters, Marjorie Butterfield, Fay Myers, Beth Beers, Donna Graf, Lawana Webb, Joan Lloyd and brothers, Joseph (Bud) Williams, and Keith Williams
No services will be held.
