We knew her only as Sister Nakahara. She was in the Salt Lake Temple every Wednesday morning at 7 where we participated in sealing sessions together. She taught us to say "ohayo gozaimas" when we greeted each other. Thank you was "arigato" and goodbye was, of course, "sayou nara." Sister Nakahara was the picture of graciousness and humility.

Maya was in my stake, but it was in the Salt Lake Temple where I got to know her--when I did dealings for my family names on Thursday mornings. I was always so impressed with her goodness. I cried today even before the funeral started realizing the impact she had on me. I am going to miss her so much!!! Barbara Lovejoy
Sister Maya lived across the street from me in South Jordan for awhile with her daughter, Naomi. I remember her caring ways and service, her graceful and gracious manner. She was a beautiful lady and her daughter, Naomi and Setsu, are lovely reflections of their mother. My prayers are with you as you say farewell and celebrate her life. May you be comforted by your faith and wonderful memories.
I treasure a beautiful brooch she gave me. And I remember that she gave gifts wrapped in lovely scarves. I hope to see Sister Maya and her family again.
