My memories are from working with Mike at Meadow Gold Dairy, you will be missed RIP Mike

My memories are from when were very young and would meet up in Jeffers Gardens, Oregon, Your family would come from Utah and mine from California. Your Mom and my Dad Bob Hillard were first cousins. Fond memories of those days.
Where to start? I think we were 3 or 4 years old when we became next door neighbors and best friends. 1953 I think. We were mostly pretty inseparable but being boys we had to have some fights to make our relationship stronger. I remember hitch hiking to school in 8th and 9th grades because we kept getting kicked off the bus. Guess whose fault usually. We made it through High School and went off to college together to SUSC in Cedar City. I remember your 21st birthday at the Sportsman's Lounge which turned into a major hangout for us. We worked together at the Coleman Sleeping Bag Factory (what a bunch of A-holes to work for but the workers made up for it by being such great people). We had great times and memories together all those years and then he moved back to Kearns and our lives took separate paths. We didn't keep in touch with each other, not our style I think. The last time I saw Mike was sometime early to mid 80's probably when I stopped by to say hi with my new (2nd wife, haha) and we discovered that we had both named a son Zachary. That was all so many years ago but also seems so much like yesterday and how much those years and experiences shaped our lives. So long old buddy, wish we could have connected one more time.

My thoughts are with you & your family at this time. I remember Silver Fox & have my own memories of him spent in Las Vegas with Lisa, Tiffany, Zach & Scott.

Thanks to meeting my love of my life, Taylor Carlos, “Poppa” Mike once gave me a pop vinyl collectible figure from Disney Descendants, “Carlos” just because he has the same name as me he said, “dude it was so cool I had to get it for you” and along with a card that said “...hey bad boy...enjoy your youth, luvs-Poppa.” I will never forget his infectious loving smile and big hugs, love and miss you Mike!
