Michael Adam Parker's Obituary
Michael Adam Parker of Ogden, Utah – beloved son, brother, husband, father, stepfather, uncle and friend to so many – passed away in his home on May 27, 2026, within weeks of learning that he had pancreatic cancer.
Michael was born on December 26, 1972, in Santa Ana, California. He and the growing Parker family lived in nearby Laguna Hills and moved to Rancho Cucamonga, California, when he was in elementary school.
Michael played in a vacant field at the end of the street with other children and one day brought home an ant colony to his backyard. His mom said: “I don’t want those ants coming in the house. How about getting bees? They live in a colony with a queen and make honey, and ants don’t.” Michael and his father came home with his first beehive when he was 12 years old. He became an expert beekeeper and maintained as many as 100 hives at one point, selling the honey at farmers’ markets.
Michael was raised as the fourth oldest in a family of ten children. In high school, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He also was a leader of a group of classmates who all shared a love of heavy metal music. They called themselves the “Hessians”.
After graduating from Etiwanda High School in 1991, he served a two-year mission for the LDS Church in the Tucson, Arizona mission. While he served in the mission field, his parents and most of his siblings moved to Provo, Utah, where he then lived when his mission concluded. He maintained great friendships throughout his life with some of his missionary companions.
He and his first wife had two children: his firstborn son Adrian, followed by his daughter Savannah, whom he taught to read by watching YouTube music videos with scrolling lyrics. They loved to listen to Greek composer Yanni at night to put his little ones to sleep. After he was divorced, Michael and his children later lived with his parents in Orem, Utah, until he met and married Tiffany, whom he called “the love of my life” and “my fun-sized wife”. They had a son whom they named Lucient, and Michael become a stepfather to Tiffany’s four other children.
Michael worked very hard at several jobs. He moved his family to Ogden to take up his last job, at Oshkosh AeroTech in Ogden, which makes Jetway passenger bridges for airports.
His bees, however, remained his favorite activity outside of work. He recently described his progression with the bees, saying he was only a “bee-haver” in his earlier days and had grown to become a “beekeeper”. He rehomed swarms into purpose-built hives and learned ways to rid the bees of invasive mites and to try to keep them alive through the Utah winters. He said, “Beekeeping will break your heart,” because many bees would not survive until springtime, but he loved every minute of it. He once even built a small observation hive attached to the outside of his bedroom window so he could watch the bees make honey all the time.
Michael also was fond of drawing and created portraits and intricate drawings of his bees pollinating flowers.
His love of nature and spirituality led him and Tiffany to go frequently to favorite spots in the mountains and woods to commune with a group of like-minded friends.
Throughout his adult years, Michael regularly donated plasma that helped many other people.
In his final days of home hospice, he reassured his family and friends that he was at peace and was steadfast in his faith that, as he put it, “God is love.”
“I have made it a point to teach about the unconditional love of God for years, not because God needs me to, but because I want to – as my way of showing love to source,” he told his family.
Michael is survived by his wife of 10 years, Tiffany Parker, his son Adrian, daughter Savannah, son Lucient, and stepchildren Victoria, Zoey (Brett), Madelynn and William. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Parker, his sister Melanie, brother Madison III (Kesha), sister Leia, brother John (Debra), brother Matthew (Cathy), brother Mark, brother Scott (Jasmine), brother Tyler, and brother Travis (Tiffany). Likewise, he is survived by his mother-in-law Misty Johnson Beachler and his stepfather-in-law Roger Beachler, and sister-in-law Veronica Johnson.
Michael was preceded in death by father Madison Alden Parker II, and a full-term stillborn brother, David.
