Nancy Ann Glynn's Obituary
Nancy Ann Glynn (née Millar) passed away suddenly at her home in Midvale, Utah, on December 5, 2024, at the age of 65.
Nancy was born on November 25, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Karen Millar, who preceded her in death. She attended Marquette Elementary School and Finney High School in Detroit before continuing her studies at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
In 1982, Nancy married and raised three sons: Nathan Glynn, Miles Glynn, and Ian Glynn. Ian sadly predeceased her. Nancy was a devoted sister to her two brothers, Robert Millar (wife Laura) of Salt Lake City and Michael Millar, who also predeceased her. Nancy made homes for her family in many states including Washington; Missouri; Nebraska; Montana; Colorado; Texas and lastly Alaska before settling in Salt Lake City in 2016.
She shared many cherished moments with her sons, the families of her surviving brother and his wife (the Chavez family) and with the extended Glynn family living in the Salt Lake City area. Nancy was known for her enthusiasm for life and her ability to bring joy to those around her. A woman of many talents, she excelled in drawing, painting, crafts, gardening, and sewing. She found great pleasure in traveling on road trips with her beloved dog Bailey. Nancy was also an avid ballroom dancer and recently attended a dance workshop and competition in Chicago. She enjoyed outdoor hikes, concerts, plays, and outings with family and friends.
A memorial service to honor Nancy’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 19th, at Premier Funeral Services, located at 67 East 8000 South in Midvale, Utah 84047.
Nancy’s warmth and creativity left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all whose lives she touched.
