Visits with mama Russell and Bob Russell always meant time spent around the pool with the grandkids enjoying their time in the pool!
It always meant great bbq’s and a trip to Kentucky fried chicken! Or to pick up hamburgers and French fries.
The children, Ryan and Ashlee spent a few times on the penalty bench, usually due to running instead of walking!
All the grandchildren had to pass the deep water swim test given by grandpa Russell!
Grandpa would spend hours in the pool giving the grandkids swimming lessons!
A trip to Redding always meant smelling the aroma of grandpa Russell’s spaghetti sauce permeating the entire house!
He would start it simmering early in the morning and by supper everyone was more than anxious to indulge in one of the best spaghetti dinners ever
It was the real deal!
Grandma Russell was a real teaser!
If you were still sleeping she would bring pots and pans and bang them together as your wake up call!
She loved to play card games!
Grandma was very competitive.
There was lots of laughter and love felt at grandma and grandpa Russell’s home and it was always hard to leave and say good bye!
Grandma and grandpa Russell would always stand in the middle of the road waving good bye until we couldn’t see one another any more!
One summer we took and dropped Jeremy and Ryan off to spend a week with grandma and grandpa Russell and then the next trip we picked up the boys and dropped off Brittany and Ashlee to have their time alone with grandma and grandpa!
There was lots of love felt and we just could t wait for the next visit at the home of the Russell’s.
