Paul William Orchard's Obituary
On March 18, 2014, Paul William Orchard, age 68, passed away in Salt Lake City, UT from complications related to Dementia. Paul was born February 5, 1946 in San Diego, CA to Melvin Clyde Orchard and Jeanne Lorraine Carr. His family moved to Salt Lake City, in the early 1950s where Paul spent much of his childhood. As a young man, he lived in San Francisco, CA and felt a great attachment to that city throughout his life. He spent many years as a radio disc jockey throughout the western states of New Mexico, Oregon, Colorado, and Utah. He was happiest when entertaining people over the airwaves or doing commercial voiceovers. Paul had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was very knowledgeable about the scriptures. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Paul loved the outdoors, specifically the Uintah Mountains, and often took long, scenic drives to enjoy nature and relax. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Matthew Paul (2006), and daughter Ellen (1982) and survived by his children Christina Lee Martell (stepdaughter), Jennifer, Heath Adam, and Carson Wesley. Graveside services at 1:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2014 at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3115 E. 7800 S., Salt Lake City, UT with a viewing 11:00-12:00 prior to services at the Millstream Chapel, 3400 S. 1100 E., Salt Lake City, UT.
