I only learned yesterday of the passing of my friend, Rebecca Mackay. I met her at the Jordan River Temple in 1998, and we've been "phone friends" ever since. Over the years I was impressed with Becky's efforts to remain positive and faithful, despite her many challenges.
My kids have grown up during the time I've known Becky, and every once in a while I would bring one or two of them with me to visit. She had a special bond with Marnie, who sent Becky cards and personal notes every week for several years.
It often happened on days when I felt my life was hard, and that I could barely cope, that Becky would call for a visit. I didn't always feel like talking to someone, but I would answer Becky's calls anyway! I would be reminded of my own blessings, and be renewed in my desire to be grateful and faithful.
Becky prayed for me and for my family, which was especially appreciated by us during the year-and-a-half we were out of work. I'm glad that Becky has been my friend and I'm grateful she isn't suffering anymore.
I'm sure Rebecca is healthy, happy, and singing her heart out in Heaven!
Monique, Tiffanie and family.....so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. It has been years but I have many vivid memories of her drawings and interesting blended vegetable drink concoctions. I hope your family finds peace with her passing and each other.

Tiffany and family, my thoughts are prayers are with you at this difficult time, but do remember your mother is now free of all pain and suffering, and the time will come when you can meet her again in her perfect condition to become re-aquainted and build an eternity of togetherness. Love you all, auntil
Thank you Becky for your friendship for many years. Till we meet again
