Reed Meldrum Dahl's Obituary
Reed Meldrum Dahl, 97, of Morgan Utah, peacefully passed away September 26, 2024, at the Family Tree Assisted Living in Morgan Utah.
He was born on July 1, 1927, in Raymond Alberta Canada to Clifford Alfred Dahl and Ened Meldrum. He graduated from Raymond High School and went on to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ontario Canada. After his mission he received his bachelor’s degree and teacher’s certification from Brigham Young University. A few years later he received his master’s degree.
He met the love of his life, Vivian May Zesiger, in Nampa Idaho and were married June 22, 1955, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married for 60 years when Vivian passed away Jan. 12, 2015. They have six wonderful children. Reed and Vivian followed the example of our Savior by loving and serving others; part of that service was the 11 missions they served.
He will always be remembered for his energy, his laugh, and excitement for life (not to mention his running into his 80’s) as well.
He is survived by brother Marvin, sisters Linda and Lois, his six children: Sue Ann Sommerfeldt (Wade-deceased), Clifford (Katherine), Renee Atwood (David), Kevin (Pamela), Melody Owens (Frank), and Barbara Burk (Dave-deceased) and many, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Reed Dahl will be held at 10:30 AM on October 3, 2024, at the Clinton 21st ward chapel at 1828 N 3000 W Clinton Utah. A viewing will precede the service at 9:30 AM.
