Bob was always warm and welcoming, greeting me with a friendly handshake whenever our paths crossed. He served faithfully as our home teacher when we moved into the Yale Second Ward in 1982. During my time as bishop in the mid 2000s, Bob and Nena generously accepted several special assignments, showing consistent care and dedication to neighbors who needed regular support. I especially value a long conversation we shared a few years ago, which deepened my respect for Bob’s strong work ethic and determined, forthright nature. My life is better because of Bob and Nena, and I extend my sincere love and condolences to the entire Schofield family.
