Robert C Schofield's Obituary
Robert C. Schofield was born on January 3, 1932, in Spring City, Utah, the third child and only son of Cutler and Edith Schofield. He passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026.
Bob had a lifelong love of sports and was a standout athlete in high school, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. His love of athletics remained with him throughout his life.
On September 15, 1952, Bob married his eternal companion, Nena Gae Burt, in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was a devoted partnership grounded in faith and family. They were blessed with six children, Deb (Doug) Rosenbaum, Susan, Michael (Yolanda) Schofield, Gae (Brent) Baker, Scott (Shelley) Schofield, and Bradley (Merlyn) Schofield, 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Bob received a Bachelors degree from the U of U and a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. He was a devoted fan of USC Trojans football and loved attending games and traveling whenever he could.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Nena, beloved daughter Susan, his sisters, Yvonne Whitmore and Patsy Brough, and his great grandson, Charlie Schofield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 at the Yale Ward, 1431 E. Gilmer Drive in Salt Lake, with a gathering at 10:30.
