So sorry about Roger. I am his older Ogden family cousin living in Wisconsin. He was always a happy, fun young boy! It sounds like that is who he became as a husband, father, and grandfather! Thank you for the wonderful memories shared during the service.

I believe Roger worked with his mother, Dorothy Ogden Quinney, gathering Ogden family information in 1996 and compiling it in the Walter and Mary Ogden Family book to share with family. Thirty years later, that book is still sitting near my computer where I update names, dates, and other information to the Descendant Chart at the back of the book. Today I added a date for Roger. He is the 17th of our Ogden cousins to finish life on earth and move on to join parents and grandparents. Thank you, Roger, for helping to gather family.

My Mother and Rogers were sisters Olive and Dorthy Ogden. I am two years younger than Roger and we were blessed to see alot of him the last 5 years or so as he parked his motorhome at my ranch in Marysvale for those years. We both "suffer" from that storytelling bug it is in our family and some have it real bad since birth, like we do! we just can't help it it's in our bones. So a couple of weeks before his illness showed up as being so severe we planned to have my grandaughter film us and some storytelling for as he put it at least a couple of days worth. My Grandaughter Lizzy lives fairly close to Roger but was 8 plus months pregnant and we were waiting for a little better time to get together. Now we know Heaven will be that time and place. the last time I talked with him was just a couple of days before he could not talk anymore,and for about 20 minutes I asked him three or four times what I could bring him or do for him as I was coming up to see him. Finally he said what I would ask of you would take to much time and effort for you. WE went back and forth and finally he requested this: some of Christy's kids have never been on a horse or know of our roots and love of the ranch etc from our lives. Would you see to it that they can come up to the ranch and experience that? What a last request that brought tears to my eyes from his big heart and love for his family. That is the Man I knew and loved along with all of you and will always remember. Clark Pearson

Uncle Roger was a big part of my youth. Uncle Roger was there when I need someone to be straight and tough on me. He was there and believed in me even when I never believed in myself. He taught me hard work and always expected me to get the job done. Many of the great memories we had together and the ones that i will never forget. Were always followed up by a Uncle Roger joke. I will miss that the most. Uncle Roger you are a great man, a father, and Grandpa.
Now, Uncle Roger stand fast with God by your side with your Mom & Dad. We will meet again soon enough. Keep those around you in Heven laughing.
I love you and will miss you.

One of my y favorite memories of Grandpa Quinney was when he told so many jokes like one time he said, "back in my day we had wonder woman, and now we wonder if it is a woman," that is one memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I really appreciated Pam’s tribute to Roger—especially her mention of the endless stories he would share with anyone who would listen and I always enjoyed them.
As a friend of Patty’s for more than 60 years, and knowing Pam as her younger sister, I was fortunate to spend time with their family at many gatherings and family events over the years. Roger’s gift for storytelling was always such a joy to be around. He had a warm and welcoming way about him, and I always looked forward to seeing him.
My heart goes out to Pam, Patty, and the entire family. Roger was a special person, and I feel grateful to have known him. He will be remembered with loving fondness. Holly Erdman

You were the smartest, funniest, bravest man I have ever know. You always had a plan B for everything. You taught me how to drive, how to love, how to cook. You pretty much raised me. A friend of mine called you my " Knight in shining armor ". She was right. You chose me, and you wouldn't give up till I gave in. We created an amazing family together. We made so many memories together. Our life was far from perfect. But it was amazing. I am eternally grateful for you. I know when my time comes that you will be there waiting for me.
