Roger Ogden Quinney's Obituary
Roger Ogden Quinney, 76, of Central, passed away on April 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family in Riverton, Utah.
Born November 28, 1949, in Logan, Utah, to William and Dorothy Quinney. Roger grew up in Boise, Idaho, where he graduated from Borah High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nevada-Reno. Among his many careers, he started and owned successful businesses with his best friend and brothers. He briefly worked as a teacher, and retired after two decades as a special projects manager.
An endless storyteller, Roger’s hobbies included classic cars, riding motorized vehicles, spending time with family, and traveling on road trips. He was a hard worker who could build or fix anything, and he taught his children to get up early and not complain. Roger was Jeopardy-smart — he knew a bit about everything — and loved history and continuous learning. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was very proud that his four sons served missions.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, James and Mariah.
He is survived by Pam, the mother of his children and the love of his life; his eight children: Cindy, Jenny, Christy, Max, Alex, Mary, Jack, and Eric; 28 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
