It's hard to believe that a year has gone past already. But the memory of Ron, a good man and like my older brother, will never fade. You are missed.

Linda, you and Ron moved into my ward early in your marriage. I thought you were the most handsome and beautiful couple, perfect for each other. You proved me to be right. You moved away and I didn’t hear from you, but every year I sent you a Christmas card because you got hold of my heart.
A hundred years later, I started working on the Church Farm in Lindon. Ron had been working there for a year, and when he saw me, he hugged me with a great Ron Malzer hug. That was a fantastic welcome to a new service mission. For 13 years I watched him care for those plants with tender loving care making sure they were planted correctly and having the exact right amount of water, and going there every day during the growing season to evaluate. If we had extra produce, Ron would take it to friends or people he knew who could use a little fresh produce.
Ron’s association with all the missionaries and volunteers at the farm was always a display of love, care, concern, and genuine interest in each person. He took time to pay attention to each individual to teach them about the farm or to learn about them. Conversations were about tractors, plants, the water system, tractors, trucks, tractors, (“If it ain’t red, leave it in the shed.”), and a wide range of gospel topics, always building testimonies. He is one guy easy to love, and I still love Ron.

I’ve known Ron for over 60 years. We worked, graduated from High School, played, camped, got poison oak, served as missionaries in a Common Wealth Nation (He in New Zealand and I in England). Ron was a special son of our Heavenly Father, he was always there for anyone who crossed his path. His legacy will live on through his children. Farewell my friend. ❤️🙏’s❤️

Ronnie, as we cousins called him, was a gentle giant. On our farm in Culver, Oregon: we younger girl cousins would try to dunk him as he stood tall and lanky in the middle of a small 8 foot diameter pop up pool only about 3 feet deep. He was always so good natured about that. Love that memory! Such a kind soul with really good hugs🥰 We will miss you, Ronnie, Love, Your Cousin, Sandy
