Richard, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how close you were to your mother and I'm sure you are hurting very much. I wish I could be there today but by the time I heard about it my schedule would not allow me to come. Rosalie was always so kind and engaging. She seemed to keep tabs on everyone and I loved sharing memories with her last time I saw her. I'll share a story that I'm sure you have heard before. When Loni and I first got married we were invited several times to their house for dinner. Rosalie was such a good cook and every time we went she had a new special dish that she was trying for the first time. I know she spent all day preparing for these dinners. We knew it was only fair that we invite them to dinner at our place but of course neither Loni or I are good cooks. We tried our best but knew our effort was nothing as to what Rosalie put in to her meals. I don't recall exactly what we mad but I know we made Stove Top stuffing. Loni made sure we were very careful to bury the boxes in the trash so she would not know of the shortcuts. During the meal Rosalie went on and on about how good that dressing was. She kept asking Loni how she made it. What are the ingredients, oh, this is wonderful. Then she almost demanded the recipe. We, Loni tried to dance around the issue but Rosalie was persistent. Finally, to our embarrassment, we had to confess. We all got a good laugh about it though.
I have many special memories of Rosalie. Richard, we are all blessed having known her.
