Rossetta Leann Languein's Obituary
Leann was born on December 1st, 1959, to Ross and Mildred Martin in Kansas City Missouri. She was the 10th of 11 kids. She loved her siblings fiercely and had many fond memories of growing up with them.
She met Duke Languein, and they had 3 daughters Emily, Sarah, and Cody. They moved to Utah in the 80’s to raise their kids. Leann had many hobbies including gardening, astronomy, crafts, rocks (if you know you know) and cooking. She was famous for her Chile Verde and pumpkin roll. She also took great pride in her ability to revive plants.
Her favorite pastime was reading. Hours could be spent at a library or a bookstore. She would sniff the pages and would say that’s how she found the good ones. It’s no surprise all her kids love to read as well.
In 2007, she married Brad Shields who she spent the rest of her life with. They went on many adventures. They loved each other deeply and unconditionally. They took care of each other.
Her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. She was happiest when they were around. She did crafts and played dress up. She loved hearing about all their interests and laughed at their antics.
She is proceeded in death by her brothers Don, Gary, Melvin, and Bill, and her parents Mildred and Ross Martin.
She is survived by her husband Brad Shields. Daughters Emily, Sarah, and Cody. Grandchildren: Austin, Bryson, Riley, Hayden, Jack, Jordan, Bailey, Ellie, and her soon to be great granddaughter Juniper. Siblings:Dick, Virginia, Ronnie, Mike, Beth, and Joe.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday April 27th at Oquirrh Highlands Park for 2pm-8pm. 6770 S High Bluff Dr, West Jordan, UT 84081
