Ruth and I, had a special connection! Even though she was 10 years older than I. ( I think I just realized the age difference as I read her obituary)I always looked forward to spending time with Ruth when we traveled from Missouri to Utah to visit Uncle Johnny and Aunt Gay! Ruth loved to tell stories and jokes to make us laugh! I remember getting to sleep in her room and we would giggle and talk half the night. Until she got older and had to work.
One of my favorite memories with Ruth and Uncle Jonny's family was probably back in the late 1970's, we we went up to Flaming George and floated the green river. We had a really fun day. Ruth and I were in the front of the raft and we hit some rough rapids and we pulled on the rope that attached to the front of the raft and it pulled the front of the raft up and cousin Joe McGee flew off into the icey water. We were so scared and worried and happy when he surfaced a few yards away, and we able to get him back into the raft.
Ruth is a wonderful person. I regret that we didn't keep in touch after she got married. I was so happy for her when she found Ron. They seemed so happy!!
I love you Ruth!
