Sally was one of my first and best friends when I came to H'town in '46. She was so kind in introducing me to others, and including me in their activities. Loved some of the skits she did with Jack McClary. Later, my husband enjoyed getting to know Geordie and occasionally saw them when we lived in Montclair. Sorry to have them move to Vt., and were delighted they came back for the 50th reunion of the H'town Class of '49 . They were a wonderful couple, and I am grateful for the happy memories I have of them. Millicent Palmer

What a great woman, wife, Mom & grandmother & friend. From my first diagnosis of cancer Sally & Gordon would be in contact with me and my family and only because of her most recent illness, that stopped though I remained in contact w/ Mark to then check on her.

No one can take the place of a devoted Mom, and only one who has had a like sorrow can understand the grief that you as a family are experiencing.

My words can only bring slight comfort when your grief is so great, but I did want you to know that there are many of us who understand and care.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you all during this difficult time while wishing you strength for today and hope for tomorrow!

I remember visiting Sally and Gordon on the farm with my parents and siblings one time when I was about three years old. We had such fun with them and I still have photos of all of us with the sheep. My mother Sue and I are sorry for your loss.

We met Sally in France with Gordon a good few years ago now and we had a great time with them both. We last saw Sally in the south of France a couple of years ago and she was the most amazing person who had such a zest for life. I had a great walk with her in Nice. I will always remember playing "Rapido" with Sally and we were the best ever partnership!!! I hope this makes Mark,Tammy and family smile a little at such a sad time.

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate the life of Sally. I was the UPS delivery guy for many years in the late 1990's until around 2006.I enjoyed talking with Sally and Gordon and we became good friends. They were a true example of what life in the country is. They were two very special people that I will never forget. i regret not getting the chance to visit with them once I left the route.
