I wish to pay tribute to my life long childhood friend. Sandy passed away after a long battle with cancer. I remember in primary, us boys, (Me , Dan, and Kerry) use to tease the girls and give them a bad time. As we moved on from elementary school to Jr. High and High school, we became best of friends. I think our little group had to band together as we moved into the big new world of Jr. High. Of course we made new friends as well, but we still kept in touch. Sandy is always happy. She always has a smile and a cute laugh. I never knew her to complain about anything. Sandy is a leader, in a quite way, she always was willing to blaze the trail. I was so impressed when she decided to serve a mission. This was back when girls serving missions was not very common. Sandy, we pulled a lot of weeds in our family garden next to your home, scraped a few knees learning to ride bikes, played hide and seek, and we loved to hear you play the piano. I know how much Sandy love's her family. They are very close. I know my Mom has greeted her with a big welcome home hug in Heaven. Our families have spent a lot of time together. I pray for your family, and I too will have and empty place in my heart until we meet again.
