After my wife died in 2008, I began attending the noon mass at the Newman center where Scott was a regular. We started doing lunch at his favorite Chinese restaurant on State St, then switched to the lunchonette in the drug store across the street. We felt real comfortable with each other. We even flew to Phoenix, watching his Giants play. But standby didn't work returning, so we got a room at the airport and got seats the next morning. This didn't bother Scott at all! I felt like we were brothers.
