I remember visiting Aunt Shan at Body Brown when I was younger. I also loved when the entire family got together. Especially the reunion that included distant relatives from Denmark. I always looked forward to seeing Aunt Shan because she always looked so beautiful with her hair done! You knew when Aunt Shan arrived even without seeing her because you could smell her perfume (good smell) the second she walked into the room! I'm sorry to say that we only saw each other on rare occasions however I still have fond memories of her. I love you Aunt Shan and you will be greatly missed!

I loved being a neighbor to Shan & Derk. Even though we moved 11 years ago, our family still talks about the chickens and bunnies (to eat or not to eat), the fantastic Christmas lights, the puppies and pigs (inside), the garden, the inside Christmas display, and all the shananigans Shan put up with. Shan was generous and a lot of fun. I'm grateful that she and Derk took my boys (Jake and Jon) camping and hunting and let them hang out at their place after I divorced.

Christensen family - Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. Shan may be gone from here, but she'll remain in our hearts and memories. Love you Derk!

Things I will miss about my Aunt Shan.
Her of course!! How much she loved chewing on ice, how when she crossed her legs one of them was all ways "going" :), how she called everyone kid, the slight roll of her eyes whenever my uncle Derk was being a comedian, all while she was smiling and pretending he wasn't that funny. her adding an "oh brother" to the end of the antics of my uncle.

The way she made me feel loved, and how just being near her or in her presence made me feel good, and made me feel happy.

I will all ways miss you Aunt Shan and I loved her dearly. Love your neice Rebecca or reb or rebeee as she liked to call me. xoxo. :) I am filled with her loving energy as I sit her and type trying some how to capture who she was to me.

I met her when I was 5. We were her step grandchildren. But she never made us feel that way. She took us in as her own, It was years before I realized she was not my biological grandmother. I was heartbroken when I found out. She was the Grandmother I had the most in common with! She made me laugh, took me in at 16 and spoiled me rotten for a summer. She taught me to love and take care of myself. She taught me self worth and that projects are therapeutic and a million other things. I have missed her for a long time now. I will always miss her. I love her and I am happy that she has many loved ones to be with in Heaven. I know that is where she is. Grandma, Thank you for loving us. Thank you for blessing our lives. I will always love you
