Shauna and I both went through cancer treatment at the same time twenty years ago. We bonded over our love for animals, mostly birds and dogs. I want to say thank you to her family for allowing me to visit with you at the Huntsman. before taking you home. You should be proud of your legacy (family) and everything good you have done in life. You will be forever missed.
I met Shauna at the Women's Retreat House when I got out of prison in 2017. Shauna was a force to be reconed with, a bright light in the darkness, a strong, influential woman who definitely left a mark on my life's journey. She was so genuine and so very loving and kind and so damn funny. My heart hurts hearing of her passing but I truly believe she will be there shining so brightly onto and into people's lives. Watching over everyone and probably poking all of us and just laughing as we look around trying to figure out what the hell just poked us. I love you Shauna. Thank you for being such a beautiful, positive and powerful force in my life and at the Retreat. I love you lady and I am so thankful I met you. You helped me out so much. THANK YOU for loving me with your hard core self. I learned so much from you. Thank you for being the beautiful light in all the darkness. You will be missed.

My best friend, of and on I resided with Shauna. She was truly an amazing person. She was so much fun to be around. She always had a way of making you laugh smile and just happy when things were not. She was so funny there was never a still moment around her. I asked her once day when she had got a new cat what her cat's name was? She said it's not Sophia Lauren but Sophia martin. She had so much character if you ever met her you would never forget her My heart is broken. We are going to be greatly missed You were always my go-to every time I was sad . I spent many years with you I'm going to miss you till we meet again fly high my beautiful best friend
I have great memories of her. My world was full of judgement, but she embraced me. I remember I gotta good job & I wanted to participate in work shenanigans. It was the fall of 2017. She let me borrow her crazy cat lady costume. It was hit at work. I appreciated her lending it to me. She was always in my prayers.
Shauna, you were such a light in many people's lives. We worked together at USARA. She just had that spark and energy to give back to people. She helped then along some struggles. Addiction is rough enough but when you can work with someone that's been there. What a beautiful journey. Miss your face and we will see each other again. God bless your family.
