Sherma Oram's Obituary
Sherma Stallings Oram, a long time resident of Kaysville, Utah passed away on April 17th, 2023. She was born to Byron E. Stallings and Ella Jane Robinson on April 2, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah. She grew up on the family farm in Corinne, Utah. She graduated from Box Elder High School, maintaining life-long friendships with many of her classmates. She attended Utah State University, where she joined the Kappa Delta sorority. At Utah State she met her future husband, Jack Lloyd Oram. They were married in Brigham City on September 16, 1955. Together they had three sons, Jack Kelly (Holli), Kirk Lloyd (Kim), and Clifton Keith (MaryAnn).
Sherma loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her Robinson cousins, her yard with its flowers (particularly the finicky hydrangeas), her home filled with her sister’s paintings, and her wonderful neighbors. She enjoyed working at the Kaysville Library for over 20 years, and she loved creating beauty with flowers. Working with her dear friend Sally Anderson she supplied many a wedding and funeral with beautiful floral arrangements, and each Christmas for many years they contributed their talents to the Festival of Trees. She loved the colors of Autumn and the promise of Spring.
She is preceded in death by her brother Lon, her mother and father, and her husband Jack. She is survived by her brother Clif, her sister Nancy, and her three children. Per her request there will be a family celebration of her life on Saturday, April 22, at the Kaysville 10th Ward Chapel at 11:00 A.M., followed by her internment in the Kaysville Cemetery.
