Stanley John Cutler's Obituary
STANLEY JOHN CUTLER, 83, was born December 4, 1941, in Hailey, Idaho, to Stanley H and Rachel Cutler. Stanley was the second of eight children. He lived in Emmett and Cambridge, Idaho for most of his childhood.
After graduating from Cambridge High School, Stan attended Brigham Young University for two years and then served a mission in Berlin, Germany, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1965, Stan returned to BYU to complete his accounting degree with minors in economics and German.
Stanley married his eternal companion, Maxine Crossley, in the Idaho Falls Temple on December 17, 1965. After college graduation, they moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and Stan began his accounting career. Stan and Maxine were blessed with four children, Diane, Kevin, Mike, and Terry.
Stan worked for several accounting firms, primarily on the west coast and retired as a CFO in 2004.
Stan had many passions with one common element: water. Stan loved fishing, sailing, snorkeling, water skiing, swimming, and more. He supported his boys in competitive swimming and was a swim meet official.
Stan was a service missionary at the BYU Family History Center for more than 17 years. He shared his enthusiasm for genealogy with countless visitors as they searched for their ancestors. His fluency in German allowed him to help many.
Stan passed away peacefully in Lehi, Utah, on April 30, 2025.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Rachel Cutler, his sisters, Phyllis and Barbara, and granddaughter Alexis Cutler.
Stan is survived by his wife Maxine; and his children Diane Mancini (Marcello), Kevin (Roxanne), Mike (Kahna), Terry (Shea); siblings Ted, Betty, Brenda, Nancy, Gary; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held: 10:00 am, Friday, May 9, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6722 West 10400 North Street, Highland, Utah with a viewing prior to services at 9:00 am. Interment at the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Idaho.
