Steven Boyd Dilbeck's Obituary
On Sunday August 23rd, 2020 Steven Boyd Dilbeck passed away at home with his Family due to Liver cancer. Steve was born February 15, 1946 in Los Angeles, California to Boyd & Danetta Dilbeck. He grew up attending schools in Las Vegas & Utah and at age 23, he joined the Army serving 4 years in the Vietnam War.
On February 15, 1982 his daughter was born sharing his same birthday. He traveled the States working and tinkering on bikes. He loved to ride with his brother Dennis & a chosen few of his buddies. Steve and his brother Dennis built his bike, which was his one true love. I was often mortified by my dad sizing up random men as he would puff out his chest stand tall, walk up to them and in his deep voice say, “Do you Ride”? Like it was a challenge.
Steve became a Mentor for other Veterans and this gave him such pride. He truly enjoyed being there to help his fellow veterans, his friends. In 2019 Steve was diagnosed with Liver cancer, to which he responded with “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!!”
Steve is survived by his daughter Jill Martinez (Tony Martinez) Grandkids, Billy, Izaiah & Olivia, Brother Dennis Dilbeck, Nephew Jesse Dilbeck (Alyssa) & Nicholas Anderson (Jon).
Preceded in death by his Mother Danetta Sickert and Brother Ron Gardner.
