Steven Casey Lopez, at the age 60, passed away on the morning of June 28th, 2024. Born on January 3, 1964, in Salt Lake City, UT, he was the third child of five born to Filadelfio and Dolores Lopez. Steve is preceded in death by Read Obituary
I meet Steve about 12 years ago while visiting UT through work, he was always kind, thoughtful and made me feel welcome on every visit to WVC. I enjoyed working with him and he stayed in touch over the years. I will miss his text and catching up with him. Sending prayers to his family, loved ones and friends.
All I can say is thank you Steve for being apart of our family’s lives from going on vacations to remembering important dates such as mothers and fathers days to birthdays you were always the first one to wish us the best. For Duane you were like a second dad to him always helping him fix things around the house or on our vehicles he really looked up and admired you. Our kids loved to be around you and thought of you as family and really enjoyed the time spent with you. We will miss you greatly but you will live on in our hearts and memories we love you Steve rest in peace.

From the beginning we shared lots of laughs as he always made everyone laugh and happy. We spent every chance we could up at the property (his favorite place to be) and made some great friends. Steve would chat with anyone we would come across on our adventures. We enjoyed traveling and had planned to do much more during retirement. Steve was always working on something to make things better for us.
Steve loved his daughters and grandkids so much. He was a big kid at heart.
I’m not sure how to carry on without him, but I will for him. I think of you Steve everyday and you are forever in my heart. Rest in Peace Hunny!

My father taught me the value of hard work, integrity, and accountability. He was a hardworking man, working on all sorts of projects and always lending a hand. His generosity knew no bounds, and his willingness to help others was a testament to his character. Despite his hard work, he never lost the joy and wonder of a big kid at heart. He was always aiming to make everyone laugh, and his playful spirit brought laughter and light to our lives.

He had an adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors. Whether it was camping, or simply exploring nature, he found joy in the beauty of the world around him. His enthusiasm for adventure was infectious, inspiring us all to appreciate and embrace the wonders of nature.
As a grandfather, he was always ready to play, tell a joke, or share a story. His presence in their lives was a source of joy creating countless cherished memories.
