Tayler and I were childhood friends. I was wondering how she was doing, so I looked her up on Facebook and saw that she had passed. Tayler was the kind of friend that if you lost touch, you could reach out and it was just as if you picked up where you left off. I didn't know Tayler wanted to go into counseling, but she would have been great at it. I remember when I had a sleepover at her house and had a bad dream. She and her sisters were there to comfort me. I never forgot that. She was a wonderful friend and daughter of God, and I remember her dearly and will miss her. I have these photos of Tayler and I on our first day of Kindergarten. I hope her family will be able to see and download them to keep.

Tayler is a great sister, I’m going to miss her until the day I die. The only way I can live on is to know that my family will be whole again. That’s a piece of advise I gave to a friend when her older brother passed away, suddenly. Yesterday she reminded me what I told her once before, I will see Tayler again. That warms and comports my heart.

It is a rare thing to attend the funeral of someone you didn't know personally and leave just completely loving her. I love Taylor for her spunk, her vibrancy, her tolerance, her joy, and for the deep friendship she shared with my sweet niece, Heather D'Agnillo. I loved all of the words spoken, and was especially touched by the stories of her life, her bravery, her friendships and her faith. She was an extraordinary person who truly inspires me to live a more full, vibrant, and forgiving life. When her oldest sister invited the congregation that Taylor would have wanted us to just love each other and to offer forgiveness to anyone we may need to, I knew I would need to forgive my mom for the huge fight we recently had. We hadn't spoken to each other in weeks, but after the services, my mom and I drove around and talked for over an hour and we fought some more and eventually found the forgiveness we were both seeking through tears and love. Thank you Taylor for still touching peoples' lives, even strangers, and for being the person you are. I certainly do hope you found your hot, brown Stripling Warrior who has waited hundred of years for you. You will be missed, but you're such an inspiration! To Wanda! -Laurie Robins

Tayler lived behind me and my parents my whole life. We grew up together. We went to the same schools. My favorite memory is her back yard matched with mine. So we would spend hours talking through the fence when we were kids. And eventually we started to hang out. And through the years we’d hang out. After high school she still always reached out to me through social media. She always cared no matter how long it’s been since she’s seen you. Rest in paradise.

She was my last companion on my mission when we served in the California Carlsbad Mission. There was never a dull moment with her, we were always laughing about something. I remember that my birthday was coming up and I was heading home the day after, without my knowledge she planned this birthday party for me where people who I had loved could come wish me a happy birthday. Once I figured out what she was up to I was expecting people from that specific area only, but she had invited others who I loved to come share that special experience with me. She will be missed.

My first and lasting impression of the Horne children has always been "with it" and well-rounded. I was always trying to grill Cyd to find out what she did with her children so that I could do it and have my kids turn out like hers! Tayler was no different. One day when I was pregnant and miserable I had to come by the house to work with Cyd on scout stuff. As I was at the table Tayler and Gracie were making grilled cheese sandwiches and Tayler went right to work making me one. She found out I was having a girl and proceeded to explain why 'Tayler' would be a wonderful decision on a name for our baby :) Though she didn't know me well I was impressed with how she immediately made me feel like I was just another friend or family member, and it momentarily pulled me out of my "How will I make it through the day" feeling I was having. Tayler was a great example of not letting things stand in the way of what she was trying to accomplish. Thanks Tayler and thanks to your whole family (Sharleen Patteson)

Tayler served her mission in the Fallbrook First Ward inSouthern California. The minute we met I knew she was one of my favorite missionaries. This picture here is when her and her companion wanted to take their shoes of from a long day. I told them to do whatever makes them feel comfortable. My house is your house. I’m glad I captured that moment of her true self.
