Thomas Steven Moore's Obituary
Thomas Steven Moore of Layton, Utah passed away on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. After several months of declining health, Tom died peacefully at home with his beloved wife and their children and grandchildren by his side.
Born in South Carolina, Tom moved with his family at a young age to Citrus Heights, California where he lived most of his life. He graduated in the Class of 1970 from Casa Roble High School where he met and eventually married his high school sweetheart, Norma. Upon graduation he entered the Army.
Tom proudly served his country in the Army for 11 years. The first four years of his service was during the Vietnam War. He also served two tours overseas in Germany. After his active duty service, Tom worked as a DoD civilian first at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California and then Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah until he retired in 2013 after 33 years of service.
He is lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his fun, creative clue games that made birthday parties unique and special, camping trips and his made up scary stories around the campfire, river rafting trips, outrageous halloween parties featuring Lola, patriotic movies, and love of singing and dancing to the oldies.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Voyette and John Moore, his brother Robert, best friends Rick and Steve, and his faithful companions TD, Tasha and Zoey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Norma Moore, their children and their spouses Brandie and her husband Bryant, Troy and his wife Mary, Shilo and her husband Brock; 8 grandchildren, Amanda, Bryant Jr., Kaitlin, Logan, Joseph, Sidney, Shannon, and Wyatt; great granddaughter Madielyn; his sister Deslan and many Nieces and Nephews.
