Dear Jerry and Family,

I was shocked and truly saddened when I received this notice of the passing of your dear wife and mother Trudy. She was such a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter of God.

We know how much you will miss her and are so thankful to know she lives on and you can be a forever family.

Merril and I send our love to you all.

We have lived in Castle Rock, CO for a year now and miss seeing our family and friends.

Some of the things I loved about my mom was her creativity, and love for trying out new recipes. She would get weary of cooking the same meals over and over, and always wanted to try new and different things. My dad wasn’t always a fan of that because (as my sister teasingly puts it) he prefers his food with little flavor haha, but I was always excited to see what new recipe she would come up with next. Most of them were hits in my book, a few misses, but mom never gave up trying. This was evident in her bread baking. As we all got older, mom wanted to find a more healthy way of making bread, that would still taste delicious. She worked and worked at it. Perfecting it. We always said we were spoiled, cause we rarely ate store bought bread. Mom also loved to come up with new, fun things for her grandkids to do. She loved having her famous grandkids campout. She would come up with all kinds of fun activities for them. She definitely LOVED her grandkids completely. But she was also always happy when they left:)

We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of Trudy, though we only met her a few times, we do know Kristyl and Jeff and her sister Cindy and have such a great respect for them and the amazing people they are. We have heard of what a great Mother and person Trudy was and our hearts go out to your family. So very sorry for your loss.

I have fond memories of going into my backyard and seeing Trudy in her backyard working in the garden with her kids or playing with the kids. I was always amazed at what a dedicated mom she was. I was also very touched by her generosity. She never hesitated to give anything she had to anyone, ignoring her own needs. I also admired what a great organizer she was in planning family activities. I love her favorite quote that saints are sinners who just keep trying. She personified that one for sure. She was also a good example of relying on her Savior in times of need. She will be sorely missed.

We wanted to let you know we are thinking about you doing this difficult time. Your mom, grandmother, wife, etc. was a good neighbor to us. I particularly remember one time when I was in labor and your mom took my older kids on short notice so Wayne could come to the hospital with me. May God bless you with peace.

As Trudy and Jerry’s next door neighbor (Lindon home) and their oldest nephew I saw quite a bit of their wonderful family. What I remember most about aunt Trudy was her happy personality and contagious smile. Aunt Trudy and uncle Jerry passed this wonderful legacy on to their children who all seem to have a positive and happy outlook on life.

Jerry and family...we are very grateful for our memories of the loving wife and mother Trudy was. She was exemplary in being a positive person...even when life was hard.
She was famous for her delicious homemade bread and taught many of you children that skill. We observed her patient and calm nature under the stress and pressure of being the mother of twelve children. Her memory will live on through each one of you. We are impressed by her dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our love and prayers are with you all.

The Rod Kimball family and the Mack Parcell family, are longtime friends. All of us became "Family" when my brother Randy Kimball married Trudy's oldest sister Margaret. There are many memorable days in my teen years that I spent at the Parcell home hanging out with Polly and Trudy. Such a beautiful wonderful woman who has left behind an imprint upon each of you; which is a great legacy for all of you to follow! My deepest sympathy and love to the Family🙏🙏🙏

I have many memories of my mom, but I have one that comes to mind that shows how feisty and fun she was. I was married with two little girls and we were living with my parents for a little while. We were having some kind of party in the backyard. If I remember right I had just gotten out of the shower and I came outside and was talking to my mom and some of my other family members. All of the sudden my mom picked up a pie that was on the table next to us and she threw it right in my face! I was completely shocked I wasn’t expecting that at all! After I realized what had just happened I picked off some of the pie remains from my face and threw them back at her, which I don’t think she was expecting either! Then I had to go back in the house and shower again! This is just one of the stories I have about how spontaneous and spunky she was. On the other hand though my mom was also very kind, loving and thoughtful. I remember last year when I was called as RS President she knew this calling would be hard for me and she sent me a text that said “How are you doing? Remember I’m always in your corner!! Whatever you need! Sure love you!!😘” My mom was always there for me and she let me know regularly that she was praying for me. I felt the strength of those prayers as I’ve gone through different struggles and trials in my life. I’m so grateful this life isn’t the end and I will be able to be with my mom again. Families are Forever❤️

What I remember most about Trudy, was her great love for her family & for her Savour !!! But the one thing that you always saw when you were around her was her big beautiful smile #!!
