Vida Irene Robinson's Obituary
Irene Vida Fabert Robinson, age 78, passed away peacefully on Feb 13, 2022. We will miss her infectious laugh, but we’re relieved that she is no longer suffering from the physical pain.
She was born Feb 9th, 1944 in Provo, Utah to Merleen (Olsen) and John Fabert. She graduated from Granger High in 1962. She married Jim Collins in 1962. They had two daughters, Debbie and Tammie and they later divorced. She met and married Dennis Robinson in 1972. Together they had a son, Sam. They later divorced.
She was a loving mother and a talented homemaker. For many of her grandchildren she was a second mother. As her grandchildren grew, she became a great listener and enjoyed their long conversations.
She was a Born-Again Christian and found strength in her beliefs. She found much comfort watching religious programming and reading the bible.
She was known for her impressive work ethic. She attended Salt Lake Community College and studied barbering. Later, she opened the Advanced Beauty Salon in West Jordan. She also spent years working in retail sales in department stores. She had a flair for making great friends at work.
She is survived by her children; Debbie (Dave) Hanley, Sandy; Sam (Stacie) Robinson, Sandy; Sandy Robinson, Sandy. Also mourning her passing are 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 11 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Merleen and John Fabert, her brother Craig Fabert, and her daughter Tammie Fridell-Daughtery.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb 19 at 5 p.m., Premier Funeral Services, 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
